My Motto

Lion Cub Camp

This year before school started we wanted to have a Lion Cub cousin camp with our grandchildren. We had so much fun sleeping in a tent in our back yard. Sunday we made humanitarian school kits to give to children who don't have the supplies that our grandchildren do. My daughter Sandi showed some pictures of children in third world countries that could use our help. We made 50 kits. It was so fun to see how excited the grandkids were to help other children prepare for school too. We heard about a scout in our area that was doing his Eagle project. He was gathering school supplies to send to Afghanistan through the National Guard. When we were done making our kits, we called this boy and his mother said, "we just got through praying for someone to help donate so he could complete his project." What a great experience it was for our family to not only do a service project but to also help with an Eagle project. We are going to make this a tradition and hopefully we can continue to be Loving Individuals Offering Needed Service throughout the world.
